Lot Clearing
Island infill lots and wooded mainland parcels. We clear to the marked limits and leave the trees you point at.
Land clearing in Holden Beach
Holden Beach is home base for us, and the lots here are nothing like clearing a farm field. Island lots are narrow, the water table is a few feet down, and the house next door is often close enough to touch the machine. Getting an excavator onto a canal lot without tearing up the street, the neighbor's drive or the dune line is most of the job.
What we do in Holden Beach
On the mainland side of the bridge, along Holden Beach Road and the Sabbath Home and Stone Chimney stretches, the parcels get bigger and woodier. Those are the lots that need real clearing: pines down, stumps and roots pulled, the good live oaks left standing, and a building pad shaped and tracked in so the footer crew can start the day they arrive.

A level, compacted pad for a piling home or a slab, built to the elevation the plan calls for.
Older cottages and storm-damaged structures taken down, sorted, and hauled off so the lot is ready to sell or rebuild.
Rough and finish grading that moves water away from the house instead of under it.
Base and stone that holds up to sand, salt and a season of rental traffic.
Debris, stumps, fill and stone, trucked in or out with our own dump truck.

Questions we get in Holden Beach
Yes. Most Holden Beach lots are 50 to 75 feet wide with a neighbor on each side, so we size the machine to the lot and plan the entry before the first load arrives. Mats and a tight work plan keep the street, the neighbor's property and the dunes intact.
Often, yes. The Town of Holden Beach has its own rules, waterfront and marsh-edge lots can involve CAMA, and larger clearing brings erosion-control requirements. Tell us the address and we will tell you what the lot is likely to need before any machine shows up.
That is the normal way to do it on the coast. Selective clearing takes out the scrub, yaupon and leaning pines and leaves the oaks and good pine you want for shade. Flag the keepers or walk the lot with us and we clear around them.
Send the address and a rough size, or call. The owner looks at every job himself and you get a real number, not a range.
