From The First Cut To Final Grade
Every property starts in a different place, and every project has a different finish line. What matters is getting the ground from where it is today to where it needs to be for whatever comes next. We offer the equipment, capabilities and local resources to handle the job from start to finish.
Primary service
Land Clearing & Site Preparation
Taking a wooded or overgrown parcel and turning it into ground somebody can build on.
- Clearing to the marked limits

- Building pad shaped, leveled, and tracked in
Selective clearing is common on coastal lots. We can clear out the scrub and undergrowth, leaving the live oaks and the good pine. Just let us know which trees should stay and which ones have got to go.
Demolition
Houses, mobile homes, garages, sheds, decks, slabs and pilings.
- The structure comes down and the material gets separated as it goes
- Everything leaves on the truck, so you are left with a lot, not a debris field
- Overgrown properties set back in the woods
- Tight sites on small lots next to a neighbor’s house
Demolition permits and utility disconnects go through the county and the utility before anything starts. Ask and we will walk you through the order it happens in.
Grading
Getting the dirt to sit where it should.
- Building pads, yards, drives and lots cut, filled and pitched
- Water running off instead of standing against a foundation or across a driveway
- Final grade around a new home
- Backfill along a foundation
- Yards put back after a build or a demolition
This is flat, sandy country with a high water table. On most lots around here the difference between a yard that dries out and a yard that stays soft is a few inches of fall in the right direction, decided at grading and very expensive to change afterwards.
Gravel Driveways
New drives cut in from the road, and existing drives rebuilt.
- Base shaped and compacted, stone laid and rolled
- Ruts and potholes cut out and rebuilt, not topped with a fresh layer that disappears into the same hole by spring
- Culverts and pipe at the road
- Turnarounds, parking aprons and equipment pads
Drainage is what decides whether a drive lasts or not. A drive that holds water is a drive you rebuild every other year.
Excavation
General dirt work with the trackhoe.
- Footings and foundation digs
- Utility and drainage ditches
- French drains and culverts
- Small ponds, stump holes and burn pits
- Backfill and compaction on the way back out
Also the awkward jobs that are too big for a skid steer and too small to interest a heavy-civil outfit. The ones that get quoted high by everybody else because they would rather be doing a subdivision.
Bush-Hogging
Knocking overgrowth back down to something you can walk across and see the shape of.
- Vacant lots and fence lines
- Ditch banks and fields
- Trails and the back half of properties that have gone a few seasons without attention
- Regular knock-downs on land being held or listed
Often the right first step before anything else. A lot you cannot walk is a lot nobody can quote properly. Cut it down, then decide what actually needs clearing.
Hauling & Trucking
Hauled in or hauled off.
- Topsoil and fill dirt
- Sand, rock and stone
- Debris and demolition material
- Delivery on its own: stone for a drive, fill for a low spot, topsoil to finish a yard
Owning the dump truck is why a clearing price here includes getting the material gone. It does not come back later as somebody else’s line item on somebody else’s schedule.
